First graders investigated which items were attracted to magnets and which were not. They were challenged to find metal that was not attracted. Fifth graders built a mountain out of Lego's. They then weathered the mountain by taking a Lego (sediment) and crab walking (eroding) the sediment. Finally they placed it on another base plate ( deposition). Fourth graders are reviewing their simple machines and investigating how the height of an incline plane affects motion. Second graders are investigating balance, motion and friction by creating tops. The challenge is to get your top to spin the longest. |
